Project: Retrofit kit for existing vehicle fleet
Our customer, Deutsche Post AG, operates a large fleet of bicycles and tricycles for delivering letters and goods. These vehicles are in use six days a week, whatever the weather, placing high demands on their equipment. The brakes are a particular focus here, as they must safely brake heavy loads. In addition to safety, the primary requirements for such a brake are robustness, durability, long service life due to low wear, and, of course, low maintenance. At the same time, it should be ergonomic and flexible in handling. The Fahrwerker brake meets all of these requirements.
In a joint project, a customized solution based on standard Fahrwerker components was developed for the customer. Attention was paid to simple installation during ongoing operation for retrofitting the vehicles. The result of this approach, in addition to the customized solution, is the optimization of the vehicle's total cost of ownership over its life cycle.

Project: Brake system for land and water with long brake lines
Our Latvian customer BeTriton is developing and producing a very special vehicle for use on land and in water (e-boat, e-trike, e-camper). Based on Fahrwerker standard components and the customization options, the robustness requirements were met. The dual brake system offers long mileage and minimal wear, as well as absolute safety in all situations.

Our 2mm thick rotor was developed to meet the demanding thermal and mechanical demands of cargo bikes and light electric vehicles (LEVs) and is characterized by a long service life. An innovative production process, a special hardening procedure, and subsequent grinding ensure consistent and high friction values with reduced wear, making the rotor particularly robust and reliable in all weather conditions.
We offer customized vehicle mounting interfaces. We emphasize a collaborative and straightforward development process, from project definition through FEM calculations and prototype production to series launch.
